A remolque volquete (or semi dump trailer) — called a tipper trailer o semirremolque volquete in many export markets — is a semi-trailer with a steel cargo body that tilts backward (or sideways) on hydraulic cylinders so sand, gravel, coal, ore and construction waste discharge without manual unloading. Dump and tipper describe the same trailer type; the name depends on the country.
Terminology varies by country and manufacturer. Compare body shape, axle count, hydraulic system and rated capacity rather than relying on the product name alone.

Rated capacity is the trailer's designed carrying capacity under standard conditions, not a guaranteed payload on every route. The body shape and tipping direction should match the material you haul and the site where you unload. These are general industry guidelines, not product-specific claims:
Rounded corners let ore, clay and wet aggregates slide out with less carry-back, and the lower center of gravity helps stability while tipping. Common for mining and quarry haulage.
A simpler box for dry sand, gravel and construction waste. Generally more economical to build and repair.
Rear (end) tipping suits hoppers and stockpiles. Side tipping (a side dump trailer) can help on narrow or linear sites such as road work or trench backfill.
Axle count follows payload and the axle-load limits of the roads you run. CHENLU can configure 2, 3, 4 or more axles with adjustable axle spacing to meet local rules.
Before ordering, decide: the material and its density, expected payload per trip, body type, suspension (leaf spring for rough sites, air suspension for smoother roads), steel grade for the box (wear-resistant steel such as Hardox or an equivalent can be specified for heavy mining use), and options such as an electric tarpaulin cover. A U-type body has rounded corners and a lower center of gravity, which helps sticky or wet material slide out cleanly and improves stability while tipping. Rectangular bodies are simpler and usually cheaper. U-type is generally preferred for mining ore, clay and wet aggregates.
CHENLU dump and tipper semi trailers use HYVA hydraulic cylinders to lift the body. Routine care includes checking oil level and quality, inspecting hoses for leaks or wear, and checking cylinder seals.

A semi dump trailer is a dump body mounted on a semi-trailer chassis that is pulled by a tractor unit, unlike a dump truck, which has the body on its own chassis. Semi dump trailers carry larger loads (CHENLU 3-axle models are rated 40-60 tons and 4-axle models 50-80 tons), and the tractor can be uncoupled for other work.
